Fairbanks Neighborhood Housing Services offers a variety of clean, safe, and affordable rental units in Fairbanks. Rent at our properties is set to a fixed rate per apartment that does not vary based on tenant income, typically much lower than market rate. To qualify for our affordable housing programs, families must submit documentation and proof of income for all family members. Please stop by our office or click here to access the Pre-Application Waitlist for 2025. FNHS will place applicants onto our housing waitlist in the order in which they have applied. In most cases, applicants will not be able to skip others or move up the list; however, applicants already on another subsidized or public housing waitlist will be given priority to most new vacancies and those with a demonstrated proof of needing a mobility-friendly and/or wheelchair accessible unit will be offered the next such unit. 

Once you are on the list, there is no need to reach out to us except to update your contact information. We will reach out to those on our waitlist when a unit becomes available; if we are unable to connect with you, you may be moved to the bottom of the waitlist or removed.
